威利塔斯學(xué)校 濃情九月，感懷青春，不忘師恩

　　九月的秋風(fēng)送來陣陣清爽，九月的校園洋溢著暖暖的溫情。美國威利塔斯學(xué)校北京校區(qū)開學(xué)的喜悅還未褪去，教師節(jié)、中秋節(jié)這些重要的節(jié)日又接踵而來，孩子們在緊張學(xué)習(xí)之余，每天都沉浸在歡樂的節(jié)日氣氛中！

　　The wind in September is fresh ,and the campus in September is filled with warmth. The joy of new semester school has not faded, while Teachers' day, Mid-Autumn Festival follow close on another. Although the children are in the tense learning, also immersed in the festive atmosphere of joy every day though!

　　“春風(fēng)化雨，潤物無聲；桃李不言，下自成蹊”，本周二迎來第35屆教師節(jié)，威校老師們共同慶祝屬于自己的節(jié)日。學(xué)生會的孩子們?yōu)橹型饫蠋煫I(xiàn)上美麗的鮮花，表達(dá)對老師的敬愛之情；學(xué)校為老師們準(zhǔn)備了豐盛的冷餐和美味的糕點(diǎn)，送上最誠摯的祝福。孩子們?yōu)樗欣蠋熞蹭浟艘曨l，在周一集會上向所有老師提前表達(dá)了感恩之情，樸實(shí)真誠的話語讓老師們感動不已，深刻體會到從事教師職業(yè)的榮光和責(zé)任！

　　“Salutary influence of Education; Peach and plum are self-made without saying anything,this Tuesday marks the 35th Teachers' Day, and all the teachers celebrated their own day together.Students from Student Union presented beautiful flowers to express their love and respect for their teachers;Our school prepared a hearty buffet meal with delicious cakes for the teachers and sent best wishes to all the teachers.The children recorded videos for all the teachers, and expressed gratitude to them in advance on Monday assembly. The simple and sincere words touched the teachers deeply, and made teachers deeply realize the glory and responsibility of being a teacher!

　　9月7日志愿者小組在閆微老師帶隊下參加MCF志愿者培訓(xùn)活動。Helen老師是MCF的創(chuàng)立者，也是威校的老朋友。MCF旨在豐富弱勢兒童生活、發(fā)展弱勢兒童教育，希望我們的孩子們不負(fù)MCF的使命，保持積極的態(tài)度提供服務(wù)，也希望更多的孩子們能加入進(jìn)來！

　　On September 7, Veritas volunteer club have participated in MCF volunteer training activities led by Ms. Yan wei. Miss Helen is the founder of MCF, and she is also an old friend of Veritas. MCF aims to enrich the life of vulnerable children and develop the education of vulnerable children. We hopes that our children can live up to the mission of MCF and maintain a positive attitude to provide services. We also wish more children can join us.

　　周一集會上，學(xué)校按慣例表彰了上周宿舍衛(wèi)生、詞匯測試優(yōu)秀學(xué)生，好的生活、學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣一直是威校最重視最優(yōu)先培養(yǎng)的，這也是孩子們未來成功的基石！會上，Mr. Davis特別表揚(yáng)了利用暑期時間做志愿者服務(wù)的同學(xué)們，點(diǎn)滴愛心，力量無窮！

　　At on Monday assembly, the school honored the excellent students in dormitory hygiene and vocabulary test last week according to the tradition. Good habits of living and study have been the most important and the most priority of Veritas, which is also the cornerstone of the future success of the children! During the meeting, Mr. Davis especially praised the students who did volunteer service during the summer vacation.

　　周一晚，各班組織主題新穎的班會，有美國高中教育制度、中美社會治安對比、暑期志愿者工作心得分享、新學(xué)年如何養(yǎng)成好習(xí)慣等等，孩子是班會的主要發(fā)言人，每期班會主題也由孩子們共同商討確定！積跬步而致千里，集小流而成江河，從開始對學(xué)習(xí)和生活的思考到對未來社會和人生的探索，孩子們的獨(dú)立思考和辯證能力以及批判性思維會逐漸建立和完善！

　　On Monday evening, each class organized a class meeting with a novel theme including the high school education system,comparison of public security between China and America,summer volunteer work experience and having good habits in the new school year.The child was the principal speaker of the class meeting,while the theme of each class meeting was also determined by the children together! Small steps becomes a mile; Accumulated water becomes a river.From the beginning of thinking about study and life to the exploration of future society and life, children's independent thinking, dialectical ability and critical thinking will be gradually established and improved.
