Grade 3 Showcase was Fantastic!

　　The Grade 3 How We Express Ourselves Showcase was fantastic! For the past 3 weeks, students have been switching into "expert groups" to create artwork of their choosing. Students chose photography, drama, fashion design, coding, painting, sculpting, music, and more! After nearly 4 weeks of imagining, investigating, planning, creating, and reflecting, the students had a chance to share their work with the CISB community, teachers, friends, and family members at our Showcase. Throughout the process, students had to work on their communication and social skills by collaborating with their peers, giving and receiving feedback, and cooperating. They had stay organized, follow the plans they created, and make informed choices about what steps to take next. They continuously reflected in order to improve their art. They thought about why they were creating their artwork, and how they wanted it to make others feel. The students even chose where and how they would present their art. During the Showcase, they were all risk-takers by sharing their process and finished products. Way to go Grade 3!!
