　　Lucton School是一所歷史悠久的、優(yōu)秀的男女混合制私立寄宿學(xué)校。學(xué)校坐落在風(fēng)景優(yōu)美的赫里福德郡，距離倫敦希斯羅機(jī)場(chǎng)約三小時(shí)的車程。

　　Lucton is a thriving, co-educational, independent day and boarding school. Situated in the beautiful countryside of North Herefordshire, it is about three hours’ drive from London Heathrow Airport.

　　學(xué)校始建于1708年，整整三個(gè)世紀(jì)后，Lucton School 迎來(lái)了建校300年的隆重校慶。英國(guó)皇室表達(dá)了高度的關(guān)切，并由愛(ài)德華王子作為代表訪問(wèn)了學(xué)校。這位封號(hào)為“Wessex公爵”的王子將學(xué)校新建的恒溫泳池命名為“Wessex泳池”。

　　The school was founded in 1708. Over the next three centuries, Lucton celebrated its tercentenary with many memorable activities and events in 2008, not least of which was a visit from HRH Prince Edward, The Duke of Wessex, who officially named the splendid new swimming pool.

　　Lucton School UK has 55 acres of well-maintained grounds with stunning views towards the Welsh mountains. The unique natural environment endows the students with the various choices of enrichment. We provide rugby, soccer, tennis, hockey, cricket, basketball, heated indoor Swimming Pool, new equestrian centre and so on. Moreover, all our pitches and courts are part of the school campus. We have woods which are home to our Forest School and form part of our cross-country competition course, an orchard which produces masses of apples, as well as a school veg plot, complete with chickens!

　　The teaching staff of Lucton School possess very rich experience in teaching, and many of them graduated from world-renowned universities such as University of Oxford, University of Cambridge. In addition, some of the elite teachers also involved in setting and making A-Level examination papers for examination boards such as OCR, AQA, Edexcel and etc after retirement.

　　Lucton School總校長(zhǎng)Gill畢業(yè)于QS全球排名第一的教育學(xué)院IOE (Institute of Education), 獲教育管理專業(yè)碩士學(xué)位。Gill自1977年開(kāi)始任教，曾在一些久負(fù)盛名的私立學(xué)校(包括Tunbridge Wells Grammar School等)教授英語(yǔ)、戲劇等科目，于2003年開(kāi)始擔(dān)任Lucton School校長(zhǎng)。自擔(dān)任該職位以來(lái)，Gill通過(guò)分享她在英國(guó)頂尖公學(xué)的經(jīng)歷和她從事教育工作多年的理論和經(jīng)驗(yàn)，來(lái)幫助推進(jìn)Lucton School的發(fā)展。

　　The Headmistress Mrs G R Thorne graduated from the Institute of Education, which ranks top 1 in QS World University Rankings with a master degree in Education Management. Since 1977, Gill has been taught the subjects such as English and Drama in some prestigious private schools, including Tunbridge Wells Grammar School. In 2003, Gill began to serve as the Head of Lucton School. Since taking up this position, Gill has contributed to the development of Lucton School by sharing her experience in the UK’s top private schools and working experience in the field of education.
